Come inside. It gets weirder.

About This Game

Eight legs. One dark wood. Everything out here wants to eat you, sting you or step on you. Tarantula Trek puts you low to the ground in a dangerous forest where running, jumping and knowing when to use your silk are basic survival skills.

Sprint across wide gaps, fire webs when you have enough silk and use sticky feet to climb walls. Your bag holds useful items for the journey, and when ordinary spider proportions are not getting the job done, there is always Mega mode. Keyboard and touch controls are supported, including a floating mobile joystick designed for quick movement without hunting for tiny buttons.

Controls:
Move - A/D or left & right arrows
Jump - W, triangle, or Space
Sprint - hold shift
Fire Web - F (needs silk)
Use Item - 1... 9
Go Mega - M
Climb - up or down arrows on walls (sticky feet)
Pause - Esc or P

Mobile Controls:

Movement is a floating joystick: put your left thumb down anywhere on the left half of the screen and a stick appears under it. No hunting for a d-pad. Push part-way to walk, push all the way over to sprint โ€” which matters, because 4-tile gaps need a running start. Pull down at a stall to open the beetle's coat, hold up or down against a wall for Sticky Feet climbing.

Right thumb gets three pads: a big JUMP, a ๐Ÿ•ธ๏ธ WEB button, and ๐ŸŽ’ BAG, which shows how many items you're carrying and opens a tap-to-use grid.
